Main Ridge Take Away Reserve Cup
The first round of The Main Ridge Take Away Reserve Cup saw one minor shock when Fosdyke Reserves, from Division Three ousted Kirton Town Reserves of Division Two. Coningsby, Fishtoft and Swineshead saw their second-string sides comfortably through to the next round. In The Taylors Garages Premier Division the two leaders, Spilsby Town and Skegness Town Reserves both hit eight goals in their matches while the big clash at Leverton saw the home side deal out the first defeat to Swineshead, 3-1.
In Taylors Peugeot Division One, Freiston also inflicted a first defeat onto leaders, Railway Athletic - 4-1 the score. Kirton Town edged out Fulbeck Utd 3-2 at Graves Park in another big game. In Taylors Ford Division Two, Sibsey and Wrangle both hit double figues in their games while Park Utd and FC Hammers enjoyed decent victories. The Taylors Vauxhall Division Three also saw plenty of goals with Benington Reserves and Wybertyon 'A' scoring five while Boston Athletic went one better hitting six. Northgate bettered them all with a 7-1 home win against Boston Titans
